The Institute for Mobility Innovation & Technology (IMIT), located on Villa Maria College鈥檚 campus, is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center offering advanced technology, expert care, clinical trials, and educational opportunities. The IMIT is advancing scientific knowledge, advocacy, and clinical practice.

Facility

6,000 square feet, including two classrooms for education and community events.

Equity, Access, Services & Engagement (EASE) Minor

Dive Into Research, Courses, and Advocacy.

Courses from a variety of departments will encourage students to explore disability, accessibility, advocacy, and engagement in society from multiple perspectives.

Courses Focus On

  • Disability - emphasizing accessibility, inclusion, education, and other services. 
  • Policy - centering on the linkage between accessibility with policies, programs, and services. 
  • Advocacy and Engagement - concentrating on communication and advocacy skills, including the use of language and writing. 
  • Health Systems - prioritizing health care systems' equity and access. 

Advancing Recovery and Quality of Life

Conditions Treated

Neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury,  traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons disease, cerebral palsy. In addition to neurologic conditions, the IMIT also treats orthopedic conditions such as joint pain, overuse injuries,  ACL reconstruction, and more.
