Program Overview
The Marketing major in the Alfiero School of Business offers advanced marketing knowledge and tools along with business and marketing fundamentals to students seeking careers in the marketing industry. The marketing coursework begins with marketing principles, after which students embark on a comprehensive set of specialized marketing courses covering topics in e-commerce and social media marketing; customer and promotional/brand strategy and management; and analytical and strategic marketing. The contemporary curriculum includes foundational management principles; financial and managerial accounting concepts; computer applications for quantitative analysis; and economics theory.
Experiential learning in marketing courses includes projects and case studies that develop critical thinking and problem-solving expertise. All students complete a credit-bearing marketing internship where they apply classroom learning and hone their marketing skills.
