Byron Brown, Buffalo’s longest-serving mayor and now President and CEO of Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation, has been appointed to the 51¸£ÀûÉç Board of Trustees. The board voted unanimously to appoint Brown during its Tuesday, November 12 quarterly meeting.

The 51¸£ÀûÉç Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Brian Higgins, a former U.S. Congressman and the CEO & president of Shea’s Performing Arts Center, to the university’s board.
51¸£ÀûÉç has received approval from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to establish two degree programs: a new bachelor’s of science in criminal justice and a newly updated Doctor of Nursing Practice.
For the first time, 51¸£ÀûÉç has been named to the Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges list, the largest and most comprehensive annual ranking of schools for military service members and veterans.
