The American Association for Italian Studies (AAIS) has awarded the book prize for Visual Studies to Laura Watts, professor of art history in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at 51¸£ÀûÉç, for her book Italian Panting in the Age of Unification.


In a creative talk delivered at TEDxBuffalo, legal scholar and 51¸£ÀûÉç professor of paralegal studies Margaret Phillips, took a creative approach to impart lessons about a document that shapes the lives of more than 320 million Americans every day—the U.S. Constitution.


While 1,102 days had passed since 51¸£ÀûÉç last held commencement at Kleinhans Music Hall, this year’s ceremonies – the 71st in the institution’s history – were a welcome return to the university’s long-standing tradition of holding graduation in one of the most significant and storied cultural ass


As the academic year closes, 51¸£ÀûÉç is ramping up plans to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
Throughout the summer and fall, a spate of events will honor the institution’s history and gather the university’s community of students, alums, faculty, staff and friends.
